Southern Flower is quite possibly the rarest Peaberry mutation of Heirloom Cultivars , providing one of the most enticing flavours, and potent coffee experiences.
Evident by the name, the beans themselves originate from Sidamo region of Ethiopia, which is located at an elevation of between 1500 and 2220 Meters above sea level. The reason for noting this is the fact the higher the elevation, the better the coffee. This is due to the fact that these cooler temperatures slow down the coffees growth, allowing the plants to spend more time producing more complex sugars leading to the coffees more potent and decadent flavours.
Its production is facilitated by one of the most internationally recognized coffee processors in the world, Bagersh, led by master coffee producer Abdullah Bagersh who represents the third generation in the Bagersh coffee Family and legacy as a whole.
What makes Southern Flower Peaberry truly special is its signature size and appearance; its vibrant red colour separates it from the typical peaberry coffee bean. The beans themselves grow closer to the lower branches of the coffee plant, thus allowing the transfer of nutrients to be more accelerated, thus allowing for its unique exotic flavour.
